Brandon has been sleeping through the night until 6:45am this week. Woo-hoo! You have no idea how exhausting it was listening to Christie talk about how hard it was getting up at 2am and 4am every night. Wore me out.
Brandon is growing so fast. You can almost watch him grow up before your very eyes. He can hold his head up without any help, he loves to stand with a little assistance, and he's already sleeping in his own bedroom in his own crib.
Yesterday, we put him in the "circle of neglect" for the first time and put a couple of balled up blankets behind him to help support his torso. He absolutely loves it. I can't wait to see him in a Johnny Jump-Up.
Our boy slept from 10:20pm to 5:45am last night in his own crib in his own room. I'm declaring victory.
While chatting with the folks on Skype this evening, Brandon decided that he would just go ahead and roll over from his front to his back. He did it two more times after that! He just turned 7 weeks old on July 18th. On a similar note, we've reserved a venue for his high school graduation celebration next year.
I had Brandon on the floor after I had changed him and he laughed out loud for me for the first time. Really cool.
Nobody tells you about this one. Maybe that's because it doesn't happen to everybody?
Starting as soon as we got home from the hospital and for the first few weeks I kept having hallucinations at night that Brandon was in the bed with us and that he was being smothered. I would jump up at random times in the night undoing the sheets on the bed trying to find him and asking Christie if she had him in the bed. Weird.
Christie had similar hallucinations that she had fallen asleep while feeding him in bed which is funny because she never feeds him in bed.
I walked downstairs today after working for a while in the office. Christie was burping Brandon on the couch and as I approached him he saw me and a HUGE grin came across his face. Doesn't get much better than that.
With Brandon coming along it was time for a new design and some added features. Comments are enabled on video galleries, videos, photo galleries, photos, and blogs. More coming soon.
